One of the most common requests private investigators receive is to locate a person. Frequently we are asked to locate a defendant in order for them to be served with a summons. Two years ago we were tasked to locate the defendant in a divorce matter. We did so successfully, but the client was very busy with their work and never followed through. Two years later after several attempts at service by Constables the defendant still hadn't been served, and we were asked to determine if the subject still resided at the address we provided. We reinvestigated and all indicia of residence pointed to the same address. We took on the task of serving the defendant and did so on our first attempt. Process Serving is not a 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday job. It requires persistence and superior sleuth and cunning.
